As a mom of a 6-year-old and a 4-year-old with energy levels that rival superheroes, I’m always on the lookout for places where we can burn off steam and stay cool when the temperatures rise. Thankfully, we have the perfect solution right here in town: the Farmville Community Splash Pad. It’s become one of our favorite summer spots, and honestly, I don’t know how we’d get through June and July without it.
📍 Right in the Heart of Farmville
The splash pad is in a great location. It’s across from J.Y. Monk Park, near The Little Red School, and right next to the Boys & Girls Club. That means we can make a full Day out of it by hitting the splash pad first, then swinging by the playground or packing a picnic for the shaded tables nearby.
💦 A Water Wonderland for Kids
Once my kids spot the sprays from the neon colored arches and sprayers, they are gone. The splash pad has all sorts of fun water features like the Aqua Drop, Aqua Arch,Two Tower Sprays and more, all designed to keep kids moving and giggling. There’s something about the way water shoots up from the ground or twirls from overhead that instantly brings out the joy in little ones.

It’s open enough that I can keep an eye on both my daughter and son without feeling like I need to be in two places at once. There’s room for toddlers to play at their own pace and for bigger kids to splash and explore.
🕒 Open All Summer Long
The splash pad is open seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day, with hours that make it easy to plan a visit. It’s open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM, and Sunday afternoons from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Perfect for morning play or an afternoon cool-down.
💙 A Summer Staple for Our Family
Being a mom in the summer can feel like a full-time activity planner, but the Farmville Splash Pad makes it easy. It’s free, it’s local, and it’s full of ways to make memories. I love watching my kids make new friends, challenge each other to run through the tallest spray, or simply lay back and laugh in the water.

Sometimes we head over after soccer practice or combine it with a trip to the library. It fits into our routine so naturally that it’s become part of what summer in Farmville means to us.
If you’re looking for a way to keep your little ones active, cool, and smiling all season long, this splash pad should definitely be on your summer list. We’ll probably be there soaking up the sunshine, so grab your towels and come join the fun!
